For the fourth time in London, Hunter Valley-based McGuigan was selected as the world's best wine producer, and the Australian wine industry's reputation has soared again.

The high-level honor was won in the international wine and spirits competition, which was evaluated by more than 400 judges over a seven-month period from more than 90 countries.

McGuigan was honored as the world's best wine producer in 2009, 2011 and 2012.

The company recently won the title of Australia's best wine dealer for the fourth time in the competition.

McGuigan also won Best semillon and Best Shiraz for their 2003 Hunter Valley Semillon 9000 and 2007 hand-made Barossa Valleysemillon, which retails for A $50 and A $70, respectively.

Founded in 1992 by Brian McGuigan, a famous grape grower, McGuigan has a long history with another Hunter Valley wine brand, Wyndham Estate, a subsidiary of listed Australian Wine Co., Ltd.
