In less than a week, the streets of Sydney`s CBD will be packed with thousands of people to celebrate the upcoming 40th the 40th Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras)., the Daily Telegraph reported. This week, the new state police department, (NSW Police Force), will also show support.

This annual celebration is not only an important part of Australian history, but also a recognition of many who have fought for diversity.

On the eve of Saturday`s parade, the New State Police Department will raise a rainbow flag every day this week outside Sydney Police Center (Sydney Police Centre) in (Surry Hills), Shali Mountain.

The new state police, gender diversity and bisexual (Sexuality, Gender Diversity and Intersex) corporate sponsor, assistant director Crandel (Tony Crandell), said it was an important moment for the police station.

"the new state police department is proud to promote inclusiveness, diversity and approval within the department with the wider community," he said.

"We have made a lot of progress, and raising the rainbow flag can show that we have a good relationship with transgender and gay people, (LGBTIQ) and organizations," he said.

"it is important to celebrate diversity and create a supportive environment for people regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity to feel safe," he said.

The new state police will also participate again in this March`s gay carnival, parade..
