Parramatta's first five-star hotel was officially unveiled and linked to the city's historic heritage.

The project of the Coronation Property is standing above the St Andrews Hall,8 Phillips Street, and can be said to be built on the history of this place.

"We made a bold vision of making the historic and cultural heritage of St Andrew Hall the entrance to the hall of this modern building," said Domenic Alvaro, the designer of the winning design work, Woods Bagot.

"one of the highlights of this project is how to combine modern five-star hotels with existing historical and cultural heritage."

The 54-story building will include a 35-story residential building, a five-star hotel and a top-floor restaurant.

Joe Nahas, head of operations at Coronation Property, said it would bring "a whole new level of transparency and entertainment," which would be a landmark for Parramatta.

"people will have an unparalleled visual experience overlooking the city of Parramatta, the heart of Sydney and the Parramatta River through the 54th floor, open to the public, on the top floor."

"It will be a tourist attraction for the city's people."

A total of three designs for the building were submitted to goverment in Parramatta for review.

Mr. Nahas said: "8 Phillip Street will set up a new commercial and residential hybrid project reference, not just at Parramatta, but internationally."

"it's really imaginative and does its best to exceed the high design standards we insist on."

The project is better than bringing together [Parramatta] riverside mobility and the historic use of international standards for cultural heritage.

Mr. Alvaro said: "We are trying to combine the bustling urban areas around us to create a sense of dynamic energy and static form-which will redefine how people look at Parramatta."

Residential units, along with a growing number of west-bound hotels, are expected to go on sale in late November.
