A Thai man was found on the side of the road in Homebush earlier this month, new state police said today.
The man`s name is Wachira Mario Phetmang,33. Entering the South Hurstville gas station on May 25 was his last recorded video before his body was found wrapped and abandoned on the side of the road at Homebush.
On weekdays, Phetmang lives in Hurstville, where police have officially identified him today after forensic examination.
According to video released by the police, Phetmang was entering a gas station on King Georges Road, driving into the station in a 2004 silver Hyundai Traka registered in Victoria.
Police confirmed that Phetmang died after being beaten violently by a blunt instrument.
"We call on drivers of motor vehicles going through the Olympic Park and Homebush Bay Drive on June 4,5,6 to provide clues," a spokesman for the new state police said.
At about 10:30 on June 6th, a truck driver drove past the location of Phetmang`s body and set up a roadblock.
"at the moment, we don`t know where Phetmang left the gas station, and people with clues across the community are in contact with the police to help solve the case," the police said.
Phetmang works at a Starbucks and Thai restaurant in downtown Sydney.
"he is a happy and romantic person, my English is not good, he has been teaching me to learn English, take care of my life," Phetmang boyfriend told reporters.
