Dozens of Coles supermarkets across Australia were in turmoil on Saturday as parents and children rushed to the store to exchange mini-toys, the Daily Mail reported.

It comes after Coles introduced "mini-store (Little Shop)" toys to customers, including 30 mini-models of popular groceries such as Australian national sauce Vegemite, Greek yogurt Chobani, Colgate toothpaste (Colgate). Customers can get a mini toy at random for every $30 they spend.

As soon as the event was launched, it set off a collection boom across Australia, with many parents and children sparing no effort to gather the toys together.

Australia`s 37 Coles stores suffered four hours of confusion on Saturday as they held exchange days. The purpose of the event is to help customers collect 30 mini toys. The exchange was held between 10:00 and 2 p.m. This morning.

The Coles store at (Bondi Junction) Westfield Mall (Westfield), Sydney`s Bondi hub alone, welcomed hundreds of customers today.

At the event site, a staff member was carrying a bucket full of mini-toys. Customers can take out duplicate toys and exchange them with the staff.

Many photos show that Coles stores gather a lot of customers who want to exchange toys.

This is an interesting activity for customers who like to collect toys, but customers who come for weekend shopping have expressed dissatisfaction.

Some customers have just said on social media that there has been chaos in many supermarket stores.

One customer complained on Facebook that the organization of the mini toy exchange day at (Chadstone), Charleston, Victoria, was chaotic and that some supermarket team members refused to exchange specific toys.

Others say customers waiting in line to swap mini-toys swap with each other, rather than with supermarket employees.

Another customer said: "the supermarket is crowded with toys, but I just want to buy groceries."

However, there are also positive reviews from customers. One woman customer praised the supermarket staff for being friendly and willing to help.

It is reported that Coles supermarket launched the mini-toys last month. Only 48 hours after the launch, the full set of toys sold for A $1000 on Ebay, an online trading platform. The price of a single toy can also be as high as A $15.

It is reported that the mini-toy marketing campaign will end at the end of August.
