A man suspected of escaping was killed by a row of train shortly after a three-car collision at Perth Denkrig (Duncraig) on Wednesday morning, the Perth Times reported.

It is reported that around 07:25 on Wednesday morning, at the junction of (Warwick Road) on Warwick Road and a north-bound ramp, a white high-speed car crashed into the rear of a Horton (Holden Commodore). It caused Horton to crash into a third car.

Police say a man escaped from the scene. Soon after, the man was hit and killed by a row of train as he tried to cross the track hundreds of metres away.

Residents living near the site of the accident said they heard a loud noise. It is reported that the accident caused two people to be sent to hospital, fortunately, they suffered only minor injuries.

After the accident, the Mitchell Road (Mitchell Freeway) near Warwick Road was closed and police opened an investigation at the scene. Train services are also affected by delays or cancellations.

Police called on eyewitnesses, or residents who were photographed by CarLog, to call the crime-fighting hotline of 1800 333,000 to assist in the investigation.
