The city of Charster, South Australia parliament approved the opening of a 24-hour McDonald`s at the local port road (Port Rd), which was opposed by some, including even city councillor.

Grant councillor woodville declined to comment.

Grant has long been absent from the city parliament meeting due to health problems. Since November 2014, he has participated in only 12 of the 42 congresses.

Grant didn`t show up when parliament voted for McDonald`s.

McDonald`s has not yet responded.
