A racist attack against Asians took place in Sydney. Lewis (Shai Jevan Lewis), 25, was accused of carrying out a series of brutal random attacks on Asian-American passers-by in (Randwick), East Sydney, on Thursday night for racism.

Several people, including 70-year-old people, were injured in the unwarranted attack, the Sydney Morning Herald reported. Police believe the man was motivated by racism.

Lewis was accused of punching a strange woman in the face as he walked along (Avoca Street) Avoka Street around 09:45 on Thursday night. The woman is currently unknown. Lewis went on and allegedly hit several of a group of women.

As he walked to (Belmore Road) Belmo Road, Lewis allegedly punched a 30-year-old man in the face and then punched and kicked a 70-year-old man, injuring the man`s face. He then allegedly crossed the road and punched a 26-year-old woman in the face, followed by multiple kicks, causing the woman to bruise.

A man who tried to interfere with Lewis`s atrocities was hit several times in the face, causing facial injuries.

After a group of workers witnessed the incident, they subdued the young man and waited for the police to arrive at the scene. After his arrest, Lewis was taken to the (Maroubra) police station in Maruba, charged with three counts of reckless serious bodily harm and four counts of assault causing serious bodily injury. He was denied bail and was ordered to undergo a mental health assessment Friday at the (Waverley) District Court in Winfrey.

Police believe this is a racist-related case of Zong He, as Lewis chose to target all of the Asian-American background. As of this afternoon, police have identified four victims, but believe at least three others have also been attacked.

Inspector Woodridge (Aaron Wunderlich) said today that Lewis had "completely deviated from social standards" by attacking "unprovoked random" attacks against people of Asian descent and was "a very, very serious accusation."

Police called on victims or witnesses who had not been questioned in the incident to contact the police and provide clues.

A woman who was beaten in the incident told television on Friday about her panic when she was attacked.

The unidentified woman said that while waiting for the bus after work that night, she noticed a dispute between an Asian-American couple and a young man, according to Radio 9. As the young man tried to attack another Asian man, the couple escaped, and the Asian man fled.

Then the young man walked towards her. The woman didn`t expect the youth to attack herself, but when she wanted to run away, the young man attacked her from behind, hit her to the ground and kicked her continuously.

The woman said, "he hit me in the face first. I remember him putting his knee against me, and then I fell down. I covered my head and curled up my body as much as I could. I couldn`t even yell for help. I had to scream when he kicked me. "

Others came up to help her, and two women from a nearby barbershop took her to the store for safety. And in the shop she could hear the young men cursing the Chinese outside.

It is reported that the woman only came to Australia in October last year, this is the first time she has encountered a racial incident in Australia, she did not know whether the incident will affect her perception of Australia. She said if the youth appeared in front of her now, she would rage at each other, "No seed, hit a woman!"

Herbert (Martin Herbert), who lives here, was shocked by the incident and said "it`s not common here." Overall, this is a very safe and peaceful place. "

Mr. Hu, a Chinese-American man who lives nearby, Mr. (Leon Hu) also agrees with the local "very safe" statement.
