Police carried out a major operation in the southern suburb of Sydney, where at least one person was reportedly stabbed to death. Two others were taken to the hospital.

There were four crashes in Rockdale, including a truck, and there was a lot of police at the scene. The location is outside Fitness First on the corner between Lindsay Street and West Botany Street-where the biker`s boss, Mick Hawi, was shoot last year.
There were also four ambulances at the scene.
A spokesman for the new state ambulance said the truck driver took out a knife and began to fight another man before the truck driver entered the taxi and fled the scene.
A passer-by tried to help the man who had been stabbed.
The 20-something man was taken to St George Hospital, awake and breathing.
Another woman was taken to the hospital.
A man died near a discarded taxi in Arncliffe, not far away. The police were at the scene.
A source said the 20-something truck driver drove the taxi driver out, hijacked the car and was surrounded by police in Arncliffe, where he stabbed himself. Sources say he yelled in Arab before he died, but the case had nothing to do with the attack.
