According to the Daily Mail and Channel 9, people were shocked on Wednesday when an emu "loitered" the streets of a residential area in (Eight Mile Plains), an eight-mile plain in Kunzhou. Even more worrisome, the emu swallowed a lot of screws, nails and stones and needed surgery.

It is reported that on the 24th, an emu appeared on the streets of the eight-mile plain. After residents found it, the emu ran along Bordeaux Street (Bordeaux street) and entered a local park. It attracted the attention of many residents along the way, and many people were shocked to see it.

It was eventually caught by a staff member of the Royal Society for the Prevention of the Abuse of Animals (RSPCA). Through the examination, the staff found that this was only a need for emergency surgery.

Claycott (Sheila Collecott) of the association said the emu was worrisome, swallowing some screws, nails and stones.

Veterinary Barros (Meghan Burrows) operated on emus for more than 2.5 hours. She said the emu was lucky to have survived. If it is not treated, it will experience a slow and painful process of death.

According to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Animal abuse, one resident kept the emu as a pet, but the practice was banned in Kunzhou. The identity of the resident has been confirmed and the agency will continue to investigate the incident.
