On December 21, around 04:30, there was another car crash in downtown Melbourne. At least 19 people, four of whom are in critical condition, were injured when a man drove a white Suzuki SUV over the busy intersection of (Flinders Street) on Flinds Street and (Elizabeth Street) in Elizabeth Street. The injured included a 4-year-old boy and an 83-year-old man.

The driver was arrested by an off-duty policeman. The 32-year-old, of Afghan descent, has not been questioned by police and is currently being treated in a hospital. He committed traffic accidents and assaults in 2010.

Police believe there is nothing to do with terrorism and that the driver has nothing to do with the terrorists, but it was deliberate.

Another 24-year-old man was subsequently arrested on the spot. He was found photographing the incident with his cell phone and carrying a bag of knives. However, police later said that the man is believed to have nothing to do with the incident, at the time of the accident only the driver of the accident.

At least 12 people were injured in the incident.

Authorities deployed heavy-duty police after the incident, a man was detained and emergency workers arrived at the scene, the Australian newspaper reported.

The injured boy was taken to Melbourne`s Royal Children`s Hospital (Royal Children's Hospital) for treatment with serious head injuries, but conditions have stabilized. Seven others were taken to (Royal Melbourne Hospital), Royal Melbourne Hospital, two of whom were in critical condition. Nine others were taken to Alfred Hospital in (Alfred Hospital), where two people were in critical condition. One was treated in St Vincent's Hospital and shared the hospital with the driver of the accident.

Police believe that when the accident, the driver drove across the driveway and crashed into the other side of the bus stop.

Witnesses say a white car rushed into pedestrians without warning. Sue (Sue), who works at a nearby doughnut store, said: "the noise can be heard on (Swanston Street) side of Swanston Street."

"We saw this white car approaching the crossroads," she told Radio 3AW. Knocked a man over. People were crying and running away. "

In January, six people were killed and at least 30 injured in a nationwide car crash in (Bourke Street), just one street from downtown Melbourne.
