According to the Daily Telegraph, a nudity protest on the beach in New York sparked a heated debate over whether a ban on nudity would guarantee personal safety, according to the Daily Telegraph, which has been sexually assaulted on the beach.

The beach is nestled by Tyagarah Beach, a nudist near Byron Bay, calling for nudity to be allowed on the beach.

The protest, known as Nude Not Lewd, was the first on the beach in more than a decade.

The opportunity was organised by Byron Naturists Group, to explain to Byron Shire Council that banning nudity would not make the beach safer.

Maxine Hawker, a local resident, said the protest would help keep the beach open and protect people from sexual assault.

Another resident, Jenni Parry, said she had been at Tyagarah Beach for five years because there were no "naked" beaches in the state, so she would come to Tyagarah Beach whenever she had the time.

"it`s the only legal beach naked," Parry said.

"sexual assault cannot be a reason to deprive us of coming to the beach to relax and embrace our bodies."

"it`s a glorious way to embrace yourself. It`s the best freedom in the world."

"We nudists are peace-loving. . We didn`t do anything wrong, so why deprive us of our naked liberty. "

She also says the signs help prevent misconduct.

Tyagarah has been an unofficial naked beach for decades, but, Byron Shire Council and new state police banned nudity in the wake of a surge in sexual assaults.

In March, the parliament approved a six-month experiment to allow nudity only near Grays Lane and not near Elements Resort.

Nudists, parliament, police and communities agree that increased surveillance makes beaches safer.
