The government of Victoria and the federal government have reached a final agreement to inject 2 billion Australian dollars into housing and homelessness services over the next five years to further strengthen the Australian economy and ensure the safety and solidarity of Australians, the Australian website reported. Meanwhile, Australian academia, business and non-profit groups recently announced a partnership aimed at using new sources of funding to address homelessness.

Overall, about 8600 people in Victoria each year seek funding from the government for homeless services. More than 1000 people live homeless every night, sleeping on the streets, parks, parking lots and stadiums, and even living in bushes or seaside.

The Victorian Government and the Federal Government this week reached a final agreement with the Federal Government on the National Housing and homelessness Agreement (National Housing and Homelessness Agreement,NHHA) to fund $2 billion in social welfare housing and homelessness services. Families and individuals suffering from poverty have access to services. Under the new deal, aid to the homeless would be A $250 million more than five years ago. The level of assistance to the homeless remains unchanged, and services for the homeless will continue and be documented, This will provide accurate information for front-line service providers. NHHA will also replace the National Agreement on affordable Housing (National Affordable Housing Agreement) and the National homeless Partnership Agreement (National Partnership Agreement on Homelessness).

In response, Federal Treasury Secretary Fledenberg said funding for housing and homeless services is part of the government's plan to further strengthen Australia's economy and ensure the safety and solidarity of Australians. This will provide shelter and transitional housing and long-term social welfare housing for the homeless, and help to maintain the construction and acquisition of social welfare housing, thereby avoiding homelessness. He will continue to work with states and territories to improve housing and homelessness.

At the same time, the Australian Red Cross (Australian Red Cross), Social impact Center (Centre for Social Impact), Australian delegation (Mission Australia) and Australian PricewaterhouseCoopers accounting firm (PwC Australia) announced on the 24th that they formed an alliance. Muir (Kristy Muir), chief executive of the Constellation program (Constellation Project). CSI, said new sources of funding had been secured to reduce the housing burden by involving property developers, financiers and community-based housing organizations, said Muir (Kristy Muir), chief executive of the Constellation program. This has never been done before. She also acknowledges that many organizations and coalitions are currently fighting homelessness, but that their plan is not for the benefit, and that the entry of academia and business institutions is a breakthrough.

In addition, the alliance released a report that delves into the main causes of homelessness, such as domestic violence, and the need for more affordable housing for Australians. Over the next few months, the alliance will launch a series of "system change" campaigns to unite organizations to address key problems in homelessness.
