Recently, a state-of-the-art factory in the west of Sydney opened to address the twin problems of waste and energy.
In addition to recycling recyclable waste, it will turn industrial, commercial and demolition waste originally intended for landfill into green fuel, in Australia`s largest waste disposal plant, in Witherier Park.
This factory is the largest of its kind in Australia. It will dispose of two hundred and fifty thousand tons of garbage a year, equivalent to 50, 000 trucks, which are sorted, and any recyclable material, such as metal, cardboard and clean wood, will be used.
Anything that cannot be recycled, including many plastics, is converted into process engineering fuel (PEF). PEF is a dry slurry that can replace coal and natural gas in cement kilns at home and abroad.
The plant is a joint venture between ResourceCo and the two companies, funded in part by federal government, the Clean Energy Fund and the state government. Vik Bansal, CEO of Cleanway, said: "waste is a resource, it is widely recognized and accepted, and it has been a forgotten industry for a long time. Many of us have thrown the trash out. "
In addition to moving waste from landfills, the plant will help reduce our reliance on fossil fuels such as coal and natural gas, said Ben Soli Ben Sawly of ResourceCo.

Federal Environment and Energy minister Josh Flindenberg says the plant is good for both the environment and the economy. "as a country, we use only about 4% of the waste and then convert it into energy, and other countries do more than we do," he said.
It is understood that the plant does not use incinerators and promises no environmental impact because it does not produce smoke and residue.
