A group of Australian backpackers used inflatable mattresses to camp across the sea, unexpectedly breaking the inflatable mattresses and causing them to be trapped on the island.
On September 4, backpacker Shea Cudley (Max Shkandrij) posted news on Facebook, a social networking site, according to Channel 7. He and three friends were trapped in (Gloucester Island). On the 4th, Shekadri and friends waited until the tide subsided and took two hours to reach Gloucester Island. After discovering a broken hole in the inflatable mattress, Shekadri and friends dared not risk swimming back to shore after witnessing three sharks in the sea.
