The Chinese owner of (Subway) 's Sydney franchise, a fast-food chain, has been sued by Australia's Fair work Ombudsman, (Fair Work Ombudsman), for allegedly squeezing Chinese employees.
According to Australian Radio 7, Chinese woman Zhang Danmin (Danmin Zhang,) runs two fast food chains in (Artarmon), Arta District, Sydney, and (Stanmore), Steinmore District. A Chinese woman employee suspected of squeezing a technical visa was reported to the regulator. The Office of the Australian Fair work Ombudsman subsequently stepped into the investigation and today filed a legal filing with the Australian Federal Circuit Court (Federal Circuit Court) against G & Z United in the name of Zhang Danmin and her husband.
G & Z United is reported to pay victims an hourly salary of A $14 to A $14.5, which is below the new state minimum wage and does not pay overtime. In the clothing special subsidy aspect, G & Z United company also has the withholding behavior. A total of $16,000 in wages were deducted from the victims, which were paid back earlier this year after regulators intervened.
