Hundreds of students and employees protested outside UTS University against the attacks on four Muslim girls two weeks ago.

All four female students, aged 18 to 23, are dressed in traditional Muslim clothing, a distinctive feature of which is the immediate cause of the attack. Three of them are students of UTS and the other is a student of UNSW.

On May 10, 39-year-old Maria, was arrested by police for physical injury and assault on others.

On Tuesday, at least 150 protesters gathered outside UTS University, holding up signs of racial discrimination and prejudice and chalk the words welcoming Muslims on the floor.

Aishah Ali, a law and politics student at UTS and a member of the school`s Muslim community, said she felt anxious and confused when she knew someone had been beaten, because she always went that way in class.

After the incident, one of the victims updated Facebook, about her beatings by a stranger. "I was crossing the road, passing the attic of the school, and across from me came a few women staring at me, and then suddenly they punched me in the face. The man who beat me didn`t say a word and didn`t run away. She just punched me and walked away, as if she had come to say hello to me. "

Kais Al-momani, a lecturer at UTS University, said that when he saw a girl injured, he ran to help. He also updated the situation on Facebook.

"I saw a crime today," he wrote. "I walked out of the building and saw a woman in traditional Muslim clothes fall on the floor. I ran up to help. But I don`t know what happened. The girl was bleeding from her mouth. She was just crying and trembling. She said she didn`t know who was beating her.
