Not long ago, news of a Chinatown bite went viral on media platforms. Yesterday, the defendant, Ms. Chunping Quan, attended the local court in Adelaide and said she was self-defense! Today, time Jun and everyone to review this incident.

Event review

At the (Gouger St) Chinese restaurant in Adelaide Chinatown around 6 p.m. on June 20, a couple quarreled with the waitress over the price of their meal.

According to store manager Olivia Zhu, the couple ordered half the roast fish that night, and the waiter explained to them that the dish could only be made from one fish, half of which was not for sale in the store. The waiter and the shop manager gave the couple a whole roast fish after repeatedly stressing the fact that the fish was sold one at a time. A roast fish cost A $50, and at the time of the check-out, the couple said they only paid A $25 (half-baked fish) because they ordered only half of the fish, and the two sides argued over it before the store called the police.

Waiting for the police to arrive, Ms., Chunping Quan ate the whole fish, lost half the money for the roast fish to the waiter and grabbed the door. Under the helplessness, the shop manager sent a clerk to follow him out. Unexpectedly, in the street, Ms. Quan had a dispute with the young male clerk, repeatedly scratching the boy and biting a startling bloodstain on his arm.

After the incident, netizens have been debating whether or not the store or the customer is in a situation of Luo Sheng-men.

Defendant appearing in court

Yesterday, Ms. Chunping Quan, 46, appeared in Adelaide Magistrate`s Court. In court, Ms. Quan claimed that she had been illegally detained by the store and that she had acted in self-defence. However, after the hearing, the court concluded that the woman`s claim of "self-defence due to unlawful detention" was untenable and was likely to face charges of "not paying after meals".

enter into endless arguments

Prosecutors said in court that at the time of the incident, the head of the grilled fish store had sent a clerk to follow Ms. Quan to Gouger St after an argument with Ms. Quan. To prevent the other party from escaping, the victim grabbed Ms. Quan`s arm, but Quan began biting and choking the victim`s neck, her teeth piercing the victim`s skin.

The attack, a 19-year-old waitress, went to the hospital immediately after he was injured and stitched a needle in his arm. The incident caused quite a stir in the areas of Gouger St and Morphett St.

Ms Quan is due to appear again in September.

In this context, the times believe that the injured "because of illegal detention and legitimate self-defence" grounds are clearly untenable. We all think that in this incident, who should bear the primary responsibility? And what about the verdict?
