On Tuesday, the "apocalyptic" scene appeared in the western part of the state, with huge sandstorms sweeping across towns.

Dozens of small towns in western New York have been hit by huge sandstorms and surprised residents have revealed the horrific experience on social media, Radio 7 reported.

Atkins (Bradley Atkins), a resident of (White Cliffs), a mining town, captured extraordinary images as the sun-shaded orange smog slowly approached his home. The haze climbed up the roof of the nearby house and the sky began to darken. Under the thick sand, visibility suddenly dropped to just a few meters.

When the local residents saw this rare phenomenon, they were all in deep contemplation.

Probin (Olivia Probyn), owner of the White Cliff Hotel (White Cliffs Hotel), said she had never seen such a spectacle.

"it looks amazing," Probin said. "as the storm gets closer and closer, you can see the color of the storm changing, rolling up the dust and passing through the town."

The storm winds reached 110 km / h, and the town was in darkness. Probin said it was at this point that she realized she was in big trouble and that the whole thing was a mess after the sandstorm.

The sandstorm was triggered by storm strikers crossing the new state on Tuesday, and health authorities issued warnings warning that it might trigger breathing problems for some residents.

After a year of drought, thunderstorms rolled up sand.
