Attacks on Western Australian police officers under routine inspection

According to the Daily Mail, on 19 May around 11:00, A male and a female senior police officer in Western Australia stopped a car at the intersection of (Wendell Street) Wendell Street and (Johnston Street) Johnston Street in the small town of (Wagin) southeast of Perth and conducted a random breath test on the driver. Inside the car, 33-year-old men and 30-year-old women have an aggressive attitude.

During the communication, the woman involved attacked the "head and neck" of the senior female police officers, and further kicked the female police officers more than once. The male police officer intervened and the man involved fell to the ground. Male police officers were subsequently attacked jointly by the men and women involved. The assailant escaped with pepper spray and called for support. The ambulance also arrived at the scene.

The two officers, who sustained lacerations and bruises, were rushed to Viking Hospital (Wagin Hospital) for treatment and are now discharged.

The men and women involved have been charged with assaulting police and will appear in (Narrogin Magistrates Court) today at the Navoking Magistrates Court.
