According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), in the south of Canberra, a "runaway" sheep slid under the eyelids of many people and has been avoiding "hunting" for several days, resulting in a windfall in the favor of residents, and even proposals to use it as a small-town mascot.

The sheep is believed to have escaped from a farm near the town of (Googong) in (Queanbeyan) Gugong, Kunbien, and officials scratched its head for how it was caught.

According to local residents, members of parliament have tried several times to push the sheep into a corner, but in the end they were unable to get close to it.

In fact, the residents quite welcome this stray sheep. Some people kept updating the sheep`s whereabouts in Facebook`s Gougon bulletin group. Before they could determine the sex of the sheep, they gave it a nickname, Baaabra..

Others even suggested that the sheep be the mascot of the small town.

The sheep is sometimes found in a clearing in the south of the city, feeding on grassy grasslands.

Local resident Kennedy (Peter Kennedy) said the sheep appeared on a Friday. Animals such as kangaroos, foxes or koalas often appear in this semi-rural area, but sheep are rare.
