Franz (Ben Franzi), general manager of Australia Post (Australia Post), said recently that Australia Post has caught up with this year`s "double 11" Dongfeng, its Chinese-language official website, the Tianmao store. Jingdong stores and small red books sell three times as many Australian products as the same period last year, and the most popular among Chinese consumers are health and health products such as nutritional supplements, vitamins and beauty products.

According to the Australian newspaper, the "double 11" campaign launched by Chinese ecommerce giant Alibaba has become the largest shopping day in the world, and sales of Alibaba`s websites have increased by more than 40% this year. It reached A $33 billion.

A spokesman for Alibaba said Australia ranked third among overseas products sold on the 11th, with the United States and Japan alone, Germany and South Korea fourth and fifth respectively.

It is reported that the largest sales of overseas brands during the "double 11" period is Paula (Suisse), Australian health products company Baiao Longde (Bio Island) sales of all overseas brands ranked fifth. However, Australia Post does not publish on its website the specific amount of Australian products sold.

Three weeks before the "double 11" campaign, publicity campaigns and pre-sales began. Half a month before the start of "double 11," Australia Post`s website processed an average of 2000 pre-orders a day for 2000 Australian products, 20 percent more than last year`s pre-sale period.

Prior to the official arrival of the 11 / 11, Australia Post`s orders exceeded last year`s total sales, Franz said.

At the peak of this year`s "double 11" trading, orders reached three hundred and twenty five thousand orders per second, or $5 billion, in the first 15 minutes of the year alone.

Franz pointed out that China is the "primary" market for Australian Post, so it launched a Chinese website in advance of the "double 11" weekend to promote the Australian Post`s brand through bilingual channels in both Chinese and English. And support the global development of Australian local enterprises.

After the "double Eleventh Day", a number of online sales activities at home and abroad will continue the sales boom in November, including the largest online shopping event in Australia, Click Frenzy, which started on Tuesday.
