The worst November storm in 44 years is hitting Sydney hard, the Daily Mail reports. The commuters fell into chaos as a result of flooding and the cancellation of multiple train flights. At the same time, more than 130 flights were also cancelled.

When a supercell thunderstorm, (Supercell Thunderstorm), moved along the east coast from Newcastle (Newcastle) to Wolonggang (Wollongong), the equivalent of nearly a month of rainfall fell in just over an hour in parts of Sydney.

This morning, a male passenger was killed in a collision between two cars in North Ryder (North Ryde). Two drivers were taken to Westminster Hospital (Westmead Hospital), in stable condition.

Also north of the city, two police officers were injured by a fallen tree as they tried to rescue the driver trapped in the flood.

There was heavy rain during the morning rush hour, and commuters were reminded to stay indoors. It is reported that this is the worst heavy rain in three years.

Sydney Airport has only one runway operating as usual, with rainfall of 39 mm and wind speed of 70 km per hour. Affected by heavy rain, there are now more than 130 international flights, domestic flights have been cancelled.

In the rising flood, many trapped drivers were rescued from the car. Emergency service officials say it is one of the worst they have seen in Sydney.

(SES), the new state emergency service center, has received more than 500 calls for help, rescuing 12 people from the floods, with relief operations concentrated in northern Sydney.

In less than two hours from 5:20 to 7:00, the astronomical (Observatory Hill) meteorological station recorded rainfall of 84.6 millimetres, more than the usual average rainfall of 83.8 millimetres (83.8 millimetres) in November.

At 9 am this morning, (Mosman) and (Chatswood) recorded rainfall of 118mm and 105mm, respectively. At the same time, Shawyn (Shoalhaven) Portes Creek Dam (Porters Creek Dam) recorded the highest rainfall in the brand-new state, 152mm.

In terms of road traffic, roads to and from the city have been hit by flooding since 6:00 this morning, and several streets in Roswell (Roseville), (Pennant Hills), Otien mill (Ultimo), and Macaulay Park, (Macquarie Park), were closed for a while.

Also affected by the floods, the Australian-New Zealand Legion Bridge (Anzac Bridge) was also closed for a time. Although some of the lanes have been reopened, traffic is still congested.

According to the Sydney Morning Herald, all light rail flights were suspended due to weather. A large number of trains were delayed and some of the flights were cancelled. Part of the roof of the city hall`s (Town Hall) train station was also damaged by the storm, with many taking off their shoes and dripping barefoot in and out.

The flood poured backwards into the (Lewisham) railway station in Louisham, and the water level overflowed over the middle of the adult`s calves. Ma Li Wai (Marrickville) was also hit by flooding, the T 3 line Sidnham (Sydenham) to Kent (Campsie) section for a period of shutdown.

There are still strong thunderstorm warnings in Sydney`s downtown (Metro Region) and in (Hunter), Ilawala (Illawarra), South China Sea shore, and (Central Tablelands), central platform, in Sydney`s urban area.

Sydney may have more than 200 millimetres of rain today, and rain is expected to ease tonight, but destructive strong winds are not expected to rest until Thursday.
