Murray Lagoon

Murray Lagoon, Macgillivray SA 5223, Australia

Introduction of Murray Lagoon

Murray Lagoon is located in (Cape Gantheaume Conservation Park), Cape Gantomm Conservation Park, south of (Kangaroo Island), a famous resort in South Australia, about 45 km by car from (Kingscote), the largest town on Kangaroo Island, and covers an area of about 10 square kilometers. It is the largest freshwater lake on kangaroo island.

Murray Lagoon has an unpolluted wetland environment, a quiet environment, a large number of reeds and other aquatic plants growing in the lake, providing a good living environment for birds. There are many birds in the vicinity of Murray Lagoon. On the surface of the lake can be seen three or five groups of pelicans frolicking carefree, dived into the water, and then quickly out of the water, both of them. Swimming in lakes, swans, flying birds in the sky and resting pelicans make Murray Lagoon an ideal birdwatching paradise on kangaroo island.
