Discover Melbourne's African gangster crime hot spot, your home area is safe?

Melbourne's African gangster crime hotspots have been revealed.

The West end of the city is among the worst suspected Sudanese-born criminals, according to the Victoria State Bureau of Crime Statistics (Victoria's Crime Statistics Agency).

Between 2009 and 2018, the number of Sudanese defendant at Maribyrnong jumped 60 percent to more than double in a year, from 80 to 128.

The West end of the city (Footscray Barber's photo) is one of the most serious areas involving African-born alleged criminals, according to the Victorian Bureau of Crime Statistics.

Over the past decade, 1384 criminals suspected of committing crimes have faced criminal charges in the Inner West region. Last year, 15 young people of African descent rushed into Footscray's barber shop and hit a man in the head with an axe.

On Gift Day last year, Boxing Day, was kicked when a policeman tried to arrest a 16-year-old boy at the Highpoint Shopping Center in nearby Maribyrnong.

In the west, Wyndham City Council District is another hot spot for African crime, and over the past decade, 818 Sudanese-born people have become defendant.

The problem escalated sharply, with only six people charged in 2009.

On Boxing Day last year, a policeman (pictured) was kicked in the eye as he tried to arrest a 16-year-old boy at the Highpoint Shopping Center in nearby Maribyrnong.

Four teenagers were arrested in the local government area where the AirBnB house in Werribee was damaged in December 2017.

Two women were reportedly attacked when teenage gangs stoned police.

Melbourne's West end is not the only place to experience more gang crime in Africa, and the eastern Greater Dandernon region is also at the top of the list of Greater Dandenong and downtown areas.

In downtown Melbourne, 2695 Sudanese-born people have been charged over the past decade.

The number of arrests quadrupled from 85 in 2009 to 365 in June 2018.
