The Australian government has approved a new deal! Big cut in electricity! Save $550 a year!

Partners in Australia should be able to see what is the most expensive electricity bill in the world. Australia's electricity bill is already three or four times as high as that of the United States, Canada and other developed countries.

However, today in Sydney, there is good news in Sydney: Australia's electricity tariffs are going down!

Australia's new energy security scheme is backed by state energy ministers. Once implemented, every family in Australia could save at least A $550 a year.

The national energy security scheme, (National Energy Guarantee), was actually launched by the federal government at the end of 2017 in response to the current rise in global energy prices, while domestic energy companies are underinvesting in energy infrastructure. When Turnbull (Turnbull) released its plan in October 2017, it said its main purpose was to lower electricity prices, ensure energy systems were more stable, encourage businesses to invest in infrastructure, and save energy and emissions.

The federal government expects electricity prices to fall sharply after the plan is implemented, saving at least A $550 a year per household in Australia. At the same time, by 2030, Australia's emissions of pollutants will be 26% less than in 2005, and 28% less.

According to reason, such a good policy that benefits the country and the people and saves money for the common people should be unanimously praised.

The reality, however, is that the plan has been criticized as soon as it is put forward. Labour said the plan would destroy Australia's new energy sector because it would cut subsidies and funding for renewable new energy sources. At the same time, some conservative lawmakers argue that the focus of the plan is on how to save energy and reduce emissions, and that the reduction in electricity prices is too small.

As a result, the fact that the national energy security plan has been postponed. The biggest difficulty is that the plan must be implemented with the consent of the states. Implementation of the plan requires states to change their own laws and regulations to change the responsibilities of the national electricity market.

In a nervous mood, Australian Energy Secretary Josh Frydenberg met with state energy ministers in Sydney this morning to discuss a national energy security plan in the hope of persuading states to agree to the plan in principle. The main focus of persuasion has been Victoria and Queensland, the Labour-dominated states' energy ministers, who have previously disliked new energy plans in public statements.

Fortunately, after some discussion, the states agreed in principle to the new energy plan, which will be discussed further next Tuesday at a joint party room meeting and a draft of the plan will then be released to the community. Turnbull is confident of next Tuesday's meeting. He said the new energy plan had been approved once at a room meeting and would certainly be endorsed for a second time. The new energy plan will receive strong and long-term support.
