British expert reveals: eating an egg a day has an amazing effect on health

While many studies and reports suggest that eating too many eggs is harmful to your health, a new study suggests the opposite.

Eating an egg a day may reduce the risk of heart disease or stroke, according to a Chinese study of nearly five hundred thousand people.

Experts say the egg's intake needs to work with a healthy lifestyle to really work. Worried that eating too much eggs may be harmful to health seems to have proved to be untenable.

(Prof Nita Forouhi), a professor at Cambridge University in the UK, said: "there are many limitations and deficiencies in nutritional research, but the most prominent conclusion of this study, based on a wide-scale survey in China, is that Eating an egg a day at least doesn't increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, and it's most likely to be even good for your health. "

The study, published in the journal Heart, follows years of media coverage of bad eggs, such as salmonella and cholesterol.

Dr Phillips (Dr Frankie Phillips) of the British Diet Association said: "one or two eggs a day is absolutely fine."

The only problem, Dr. Phillips said, may be that eating too much of any food "means missing the chance to eat other nutrients from other foods."

On the other hand, while eggs are "the perfect source of protein," Dr. Phillips cautions, we usually already have a lot of protein in our diet. Excessive intake (two to three times the recommended daily intake) "may increase the burden on the liver."

As part of a healthy diet, many doctors now encourage patients to eat eggs, which are one of the most nutritious foods in nature, the report said.
