Vietnamese suspect turns himself in: blood found in residence, body thrown into rive

On 28 August 2018, at about 11:15, 23-year-old Vietnamese man Nhat T. He came to a police station in Jena and said he wanted to report a murder case. The victim was dismembered: 28 partial remains, 45 skull fragments

After the crime, the suspect dragged the victim into the bathroom. He dismembered the body, packed it in bags, placed it in separate parts of Jena, and then took the victim's computer and cell phone.

The third day after the crime, Nhat T.. Thousands of euros worth of goods, including 3600 euros worth of cameras, were ordered on Amazon with the victim's name.

That night, after dinner with his Vietnamese girlfriend, he lit a candle, sat her in bed and told her about the killing of Chinese students. At first his girlfriend didn't believe him, thought it was a joke, then he was scared and convinced her boyfriend to turn himself in.

The suspect was taken to a professional hospital for examination. A legal medical expert psychiatrist said the suspect had a paranoid type of schizophrenia. Because of the cause of the illness, he is unable to recognize the legitimacy of his conduct. So he's not going to be in prison, but in a mental hospital.

The student murder case will be tried in the (Gera) District Court of Gera on February 26, 2019.
