According to the Messenger Post, the saturated sharing market in Brisbane will shake in a few weeks, with Didi (DiDi), the Chinese sharing service giant, promising to push prices down into the local streets.

Dan Jordan, the head of Didi Australia, said the company will actively recruit customers and (online) drivers when moving into the Brisbane market.

Currently, Didi has started operations in Melbourne, Geelong and Newcastle. Prior to a formal march to Brisbane on July 22, the company has been understated by its Greenslopes driver center and efforts to increase the call-up.

"In the long run, we are sure to recruit a large number of drivers to the market." Jordan said: "I think it's also important to have a number of drivers running a number of platforms, so Didi's entry into the Brisbane market will not boost more drivers or vehicles."

And Didi will make the biggest threat for Uber. Since the introduction of the Brisbane market in Uber "Non-compliance" in 2014, it has been the dominant co-service operator in the city.

It is reported that Didi is currently in the world with a total of 550 million users, carrying nearly 2750 million passengers a day. The daily travel of Didi is twice as much as that of Uber. Uber has now sold its Chinese business to Didi.

Didi is usually 10 percent cheaper than competitors and drivers will get 94.5 percent of each fare, Jordan said. Didi drivers who register before July 22 will receive 100% of the fare in the first six weeks.

Jordan also said Didi will adopt peak-time prices during peak hours.

"Following our current success in Melbourne, Newcastle and Gronon, we think Brisbane will be the next stop to launch our popular co-service.", he said.
