You can't price love. However, according to the latest survey, 20 percent of single Australian residents admit that their other half needs to earn at least A $80, 000 a year, or the relationship cannot continue.

According to the Daily Mail, Mozo, a wealth management website, found that the biggest factor in a couple's breakup was financial-related problems.

Lamont (Kirsty Lamont), director of Mozo, said: "you may not think that love is linked to money, but financial compatibility is crucial in finding and maintaining healthy partnerships."

As much as 48.2% of men expect their income to be higher than the other half, while 35% of women expect the other half to earn more than themselves.

The good news is that 88.8 percent of Australians believe they are willing to help their partners financially if the situation forces them.

When it comes to ideal pay, 20% of Australians have high expectations of their partner's income. They expect the other half to earn just under A $80, 000, an average of A $79844.56.

According to the survey, men want to earn at least A $75202 a year for the other half, while women expect the other half to earn at least A $82731 a year.

In addition, nearly 1 / 3 of Australians admit to quarrelling at least once a month over money.

Other major breakup factors include excessive gambling, smoking and alcohol abuse. One in four Australians believe such devastating consumption will mean the end of a relationship.
