What is a spouse's accompanying visa?

Spouse accompanying means that one of the husband and wife or one of the male and female friends comes to Australia to study in Australia, and the other can accompany the principal applicant to study in Australia as an associate applicant. This type of visa is not classified separately. Instead, as part of a student visa (Subclass 500), eligible family members can apply

One particular reminder: when applying for a student visa, even if you do not intend to bring your family with you to study in Australia, you also need to fill in information about all family members in the application. This can avoid future application for accompanying visa, but also need to re-apply for student visa trouble.

Regarding the definition of spouse, the Immigration Service also gives a detailed classification and definition.

1. De facto couples, simply speaking, are couples who have a permanent purpose of living but are not registered with the relevant authorities. This relationship requires relevant evidence, including key evidence of residence in the, economic, society and commitments between the two parties. It takes at least 12 months for a de facto relationship to apply for a student visa

2. A spouse is a registered marry object.

3. Partners include spouses and couples with de facto relationships, including same-sexcouples.
