Adelaide, these famous beaches are about to disappear! A few more times while it's still there!

Speaking of Australia, it is very natural to associate with the sun, the sea, the beach. These are really Australians' favorites, too. In sunny days, take a walk by the sea with three or five friends or family, or lie down in the sand, chase the waves, and play with the water.

No matter how to play, can find a suitable way for themselves, good not comfortable!

As one of Australia's capital cities, Adelaide also boasts many beautiful beaches, such as Glenelg,Henley Beach.

But recently, experts say many of Adelaide's main beaches could turn into desolate rocky coasts in the next decade! And this trend is almost impossible to stop!

Many of Adelaide's beaches are reported to have suffered severe sand loss due to long-term seawater erosion and have not been effectively stopped.

Geological experts say all beaches in Adelaide are now severely degraded, and things will get worse over time.

Because the waves are too strong, many coastal beaches are rapidly disappearing, with little chance of recovery.

Experts say government's failure to build effective breakwater or spur dams to prevent sand loss and erosion means that water pumping and sand filling in South Australia are not effectively protected every year. The multimillion Australian dollars invested is also a waste.

Among the most affected beaches are:

  • Seacliff-Kingston Park
  • Glenelg North
  • West Beach

Although government has taken measures to carry out sand filling, there is no supporting sand protection works.

Weak beaches must be remedied before strong winds this winter, as storms can quickly erode newly filled sand, officials said.

A professor of coastal research at Flinders University says there is no easy or cheap solution to the problem of beach erosion and degradation.

He said reversing the trend would require more money, with federal government funding of at least A $20 million for start-up funding and substantial investment to maintain infrastructure.

However, the professor also said that due to the current limited resources of the state government, can be done very well.

Don't know what will happen in the end, while the beach has not completely disappeared, or hurry to go a few more times!
