You want to talk about money, sexy? Couples fight for money on average three times a month

Whether we are willing to admit it or not, money is important.

According to the Daily Mail, Australian financial adviser Brown (Melissa Browne) said a consensus on financial issues was a fundamental element of a long-term relationship. While discussion of money is often considered "non-sexy", open communication to finance is actually the key to maintaining a healthy, happy relationship.

The research shows that Brown's analysis is accurate. Money is the first reason a couple quarrels. On average, financial problems cause couples to disagree three times a month.

For many people, talking about money can be embarrassing and disturbing, especially when it comes to an important partner. Brown said this could raise more questions because couples are not exploring each other's "money values" and are not sure if they really "co-ordinate" financially.

While most couples are happy to talk about leisure spending such as vacations, they tend to avoid serious topics such as credit card debt or saving money for loans, Mr. Brown said.

Brown suggests taking the topic of money as a positive thing, starting with talking about his money values and about the income and expenditure education he received as he grew up. Increased financial transparency to help reduce the risk of serious future quarrels
