Sydney treated female patients with traditional Chinese medicine and was charged with manslaughter.

After the death of a woman, a Chinese herbal medicine doctor was charged with manslaughter.

The 52-year-old man was arrested Thursday at the Hornsby police station on Sydney's north shore. Earlier, the police set up the Strike Force Caffs, on June 8 to investigate the woman's death.

The registered Chinese herbal physician is said to have been treating the 56-year-old woman for her illness.

The new state police said the woman arrived in Australia only in March.

The man was denied bail and will appear in Hornsby District Court on Friday. His registration has been suspended.
