Melbourne introduced Australia's first anti-alcoholic driving cool techs, and drivers can't even get out of the parking lot!

We all know the danger of preventing drunk driving cool techs, but still can't stop some drivers from taking risks, drinking and driving.

To combat this, Victoria recently introduced a unique cool techs in Australia:

Alcohol detection door (alco-gate)

The operation of this alcohol detection door is as follows:

First, install it at the exit of the parking lot, and then each driver leaves the parking lot with a blow at a small sensor that can detect alcohol. After a few seconds, the instrument gives the readings.

If the driver's alcohol test reading is below 0.05, which means not being a drunk driver, the alcohol test door will automatically open and the driver will be able to leave the parking lot.

If the reading exceeds 0.05, the door won't open, and the driver won't want to drive out of the parking lot.

This will prevent the driver from drinking and driving.

As for hygiene, don't worry, this sensor is very sensitive, do not need direct contact with the driver's mouth, the driver can blow at a certain distance.

Sweden tried the gate technology for the first time in 2013, and it turned out to be working well, so Sweden extended the technology to a wider range this year.

The technology is now being introduced and will be tested in a parking lot south of Melbourne from March to the end of next year.

The exact parking lot is not yet certain.

If the trial is successful, it will then be rolled out all over Melbourne.

In other words, other parking lots will be fitted with this kind of door.

To prevent the danger of drunk drivers, the parking lot will also be equipped with security personnel to help drunk drivers choose other safe ways home.

Nearly 1 / 4 of all fatal traffic accidents in Victoria involve drunk driving, according to data.

So it's also a new attempt on road safety in the state, hoping to prevent drivers from paying for their lives as a result of drunken driving.

Of course, we also hope that for the sake of their own and other people's safety, do not drink driving.
