The latest developments in the dismissal of Chinese passengers on suspicion of racial discrimination among Perth airport staff

In October 2016, a Perth airport worker employed by the Australian Ministry of the Interior, (The Home Affairs Department), was fired on charges of disrespect and disrespect for a Chinese woman passenger.

The employee, Gregory Gibbens, was previously employed by the Australian Home Office at Perth Airport.

In December 2016, he was fired by the Australian Ministry of the Interior because he had no respect for the passengers.

In January 2015, a female passenger nipped her passport into her mouth because she had to adjust two bags. Gibbens was pointed out to have picked up her passport and wiped it on the woman's sleeve. Gibbens later said the situation had taken place "in an easy way" and that although he admitted he was "excessive", he had no intention of offending the woman.

In July 2015, Gibbens was accused of being rude, unprofessional, rude, loud, not looking at a woman while she was talking, turning her eyes and sighing, Gibbens denied.

In November 2015, Gibbens was accused of saying to a passenger on his way to Denbasa: "you really have the courage to choose AirAsia. Air Asia can't tell ordinary clouds from gray clouds. The plane hit a gray cloud, and the gray cloud entered the engine." The plane falls into the sea. "Gibbens also pinches his nose and mimics diving."

In August 2016, Gibbens was refiled after processing a refund request for a female passenger, who said the passenger "may have done so many times" and was believed to have made a judgment based on the fact that the woman was a Chinese passenger. But Gibbens denied it and said accusations of racism were groundless.

The fair work commission said it agreed that the interior ministry had good reasons to fire Gibbens, but Bruce Williams, the commissioner, said Monday the ministry had not warned Gibbens, that he could be fired if he continued to disrespect and unjustifiably disrespect passengers.

The fair work commission has asked the interior ministry to compensate Gibbens for a total of A $5200, which is understood to be because if Gibbens receives a warning, it will continue to work for 12 weeks, and A $5200 is half the salary for that period. On Tuesday, the Interior Ministry said it was considering how to respond to the Fair work Commission's decision.
