Calls for a clean-up of Melbourne's "dirty" port of Philip Bay (Port Phillip Bay) are getting louder and louder. Earlier, Brighton (Brighton), St Kitts (St Kilda) and Port Melbourne (Port Melbourne) were rated the worst-quality beaches, and residents were reported to be ill after swimming.
Last month, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released the Best & worst Beach report, according to the Pioneer Sun. (Best and Worst Beach Report), listed Brighton Beach as its worst beach this summer. Pollution at Brighton Beach lasted seven days on January 9, when sewage from nearby streets leaked.
Allegedly, the sewage leakage is suspected to be due to flushing toilet baby wipes caused.
Six beaches, such as St. Kilda, Sandridge, South Melbourne, Melbourne and Elwood, once again raised concerns about the water's water quality that is no longer suitable for swimming.

The Environmental Protection Agency says Melbourne Beach is often polluted because of its large population. In fact, the quality of Port Philip Bay has been improving since 2002.
