Australian road asphalt melting vehicle trapped and motionless

A highway in the far north of Kunzhou melted down so badly that the tires were stuck and drivers were forced to abandon their cars.

According to the Australian News Network, some vehicles were trapped in (Tarzali), Queensland, about 1.5 hours away from Cairns, where the meltdown of the local Millaa Millaa-Malanda Road asphalt caused some vehicles to be trapped.

The road, which was resealed last week, was destroyed by wet weather. Asphalt melts and cracks, leading to unsafe driving.

According to Stacey (Deborah Stacey), a resident of (Jaggan), a small town of Gagan, asphalt turned into glue after the sun appeared at noon yesterday. Asphalt flows all over the place, sticking to truck tires. The (RACQ) staff of the Royal Queensland Automobile Association handles three to four times a day, but as soon as the sun comes out, the roads start to get sticky.

Truck drivers were forced to abandon their cars and towns such as Gagan were isolated from the outside world because of the closure of the main road.

According to Stacey, the Malanda (Malanda Show) will be staged this weekend, but the Palmerston high-speed (Palmerston Highway), through which visitors from the south have come, is closed.

A spokesman for the Kunzhou Transport and Trunk Road Bureau (Department of Transport and Main Roads) said the authorities had taken steps to address the issue. Mila-Malanda Road was once closed, after repair has been re-developed two lanes, only to slow down the vehicle.
