Do parents punish their children for breaking the law?

In ANZ, law did not say that parents could not punish their children, but gave illegal or not illegal instructions on the intensity of punishment and the parts of the body that were disciplined. If parents discipline their children improperly, the parents may be prosecute by the police.

If a father is charged with court after beating his child, under the new state criminal law, 61AA (1) & (2), the father is required to prove the following facts to plead not guilty:

1. Beating children is to punish them, not to hurt them on purpose.

two. The power used to hit a child is within a reasonable range for the child's physical condition, mental state, and what the child does.

It must not fall within reasonable limits in the following cases:

1. Hit the child in the neck or head unless the force is minimal.

two. The strength and way of hitting a child is very likely to hurt the child.

Parents need to be law aware when educating their children. Don't break the law.
