Irish tourists add new charges of wanton destruction of four new apartments

Irish mothers accused of blackmailing high-end restaurants in Brisbane and stealing from supermarkets may have destroyed four new apartments.

According to Australian News Corporation, landlord Clara Carmichael said she quickly recognized the women with a strong Irish accent who had rented her house.

She told Seven News, they fled the rental room in the middle of the night, leaving behind a pile of damage, such as making holes in the wall and pouring potatoes into the toilet.

"there are smeared marks on the wall, and the damage is huge," she said. "they also intimidate other tenants in the same building, making them afraid to go in and out of the building."

They also sent a message of abuse. "you don't know how to run a business," one of the messages wrote.

"you are stupid XX, of Australia," another wrote.

Carmichael believes the women share the same group of people who steal from stores and eat bully meals in high-end restaurants.

Earlier this week, the owner of a grocery store in Brisbane claimed that the women had stolen at least 100 yuan worth of groceries from his shop.

He also said the women were not short of money at all, one of whom had "hidden a pile of 50-yuan notes in her bra."

The girls, who often walk around with their children, are believed to have stolen expensive heels from a luxury store.

They were also reported to be in trouble at restaurants and cafes, leaving workers helpless to dispense with their bills.

On one occasion, they put glass in the food and asked the restaurant to return the money.

Queensland police told Australian News Corp on Thursday that they suspected more businesses were being blackmailed. They are believed to have been given free food, drinks and cigarettes.
