Australian girls have food allergies and a hamburger with a swollen face like a pig's head.

A girl with severe nut allergies says she almost died after eating a hamburger.

Jed (Jade Kwong) of South Australia University and her family had no idea she had almond flour in her burger bread when eating at a well-known hamburger chain.

The 18-year-old girl has been suffering from allergies for 15 years. A few minutes after she bit the hamburger, she was rushed to the hospital.

The third-year high school girl spoke on Today Tonight Adelaide about her terrible experience of passing death after swelling and pain around her eyes.

"I'm scared. I don't know what will happen. I even thought I might die, "she said."

Jed says she has been wary of eating out for the past 15 years.

"I must be very careful. I always ask'is there any nut in here? 'and I have to explain that I have allergies,' she said.

But when the family ordered at the hamburger, they didn't see any hints or signs of nuts on the menu.

A few minutes after eating the burger, Jed began to have difficulty breathing.

Her mother, Rena Kwong (Rena Kwong), told the show: "her eyes are almost closed. We were really scared because at that moment we thought something would happen soon. "

The family quickly found almond powder in the bread.

"I immediately realized that it meant nuts," Rayna explained. "it meant Jed could be in great danger."

The girl shared the experience on social media and reminded others of nut allergies.

"to be honest, it was a terrible experience for me," she said on Facebook. I am allergic to peanuts and may die from eating peanuts. "

"as you can see in the picture, my right eye immediately became very swollen and my mother rushed me to the hospital."

"when I eat out, I should be confident that what I eat will be safe. I've always been careful and always asked the restaurant staff if there were nuts in my food, but I never thought there would be almonds in the bread. "

"[this hamburger store] really needs to tell you what foods contain nuts because I don't want anyone else to experience what I've been through. It's terrible. "

Since then, Jed's body has recovered significantly, but in order to raise awareness, the Jed and his family have decided to speak out their experiences.

"I don't want such unattractive food to kill my children," Rayna said.

"We need a clearer food label so that people like Jed will not be in danger."
