41-year-old married Chinese female teacher falls in love with 11-year-old male student, once expressed envy of his girlfriend

According to the New York Post, Cheng Yicheng, a Chinese music teacher in New York, called him "boyfriend" in a text message sent to an 11-year-old male student, after the Special Commissioner investigated the matter. Cheng Yicheng has recently been dismissed from his school.

Since June 2017, Ms. Cheng, 41, has reportedly exchanged more than 500 text messages with fifth-graders. Ms. Cheng also talked to her children about basketball in video chat and went to the mall to date. On Facebook, Ms. Cheng told her friends about the so-called relationship and wrote, "We don't have sex. I think it's legal."

She also texted the teenager "I love you" and said she was jealous of his girlfriend. When the boy was questioned by the authorities, he told investigators that he had never had any sexual intercourse with Ms. Cheng. No charges were brought against her.

It is understood that Ms. Cheng's separated husband gave Ms. Cheng's Facebook password to investigators, and he asked investigators to find information between Ms. Cheng and the boy. In her June 2017 Facebook message, Cheng reportedly wrote, "Don't use me as a bargaining chip for you and your girlfriend."

"this is the second time you've told everyone what I told you. Do you think it's a joke? Or do you think I'm a joke? You hurt me again. From now on, you should tell everyone, including your girlfriend: I don't love you. Good night. "

The student then replied in a post, "I won't tell anyone about you."

Ms. Cheng then continued to reply in her post, "I think you're using me to make her jealous. It hurts because you care more about her than I do. Don't you know how much I love you?

It is understood that Ms. Cheng in a text message to a friend called the boy student as her "boyfriend." Now, working at New York Piano School in Manhattan, a woman familiar with the matter said in an interview that she would teach students at home in front of their parents.
