A child on board was killed when his father drunk 40 beers and drove with a license L in northern Victoria

A 12-year-old boy was killed in the town of northern Victoria on Aug. 7 after a driver drank 40 cans of beer and drunk his car, according to the Daily Mail.

The accident took place at 1: 00 a. M. on Saturday, when Thomas Baksh, 35, was driving in Shepparton, Victoria, with three children on board.

When emergency workers arrived at the scene, the 12-year-old boy sitting in the front row was dead, while two other children sitting in the back row-a 10-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl-were injured.

It is believed that the 12-year-old boy who died at the time of the accident was not wearing a seat belt.

Here's the drunk driver, Thomas.

Thomas appeared in court yesterday (Monday) on charges of drunk driving (about 30 to 40 beers) and drinking for up to nine hours before driving.

In addition, the court was informed that Thomas only holds a learning driver's license-and therefore is not fully qualified to drive a vehicle.

Thomas now faces two charges-illegal driving and dangerous driving to death.

Hours before the crash, Thomas's girlfriend confiscated his car keys and tried to stop him from driving, but eventually he drove away with his children.

Thomas is currently in custody, and the next hearing will take place in November.
