According to Radio 9, a female driver in the Northern Territory was carrying 10 children, none of them wearing a seat belt, and the woman was severely punished.

Police on Sadadon (Sadadeen) Sadadon Road, east of Alice Springs (Alice Springs), reportedly found a child jumping inside a car on Thursday.

Police stopped the vehicle near (Bagot Street) on Bargot Street and found a baby under one year old sitting on the thigh of a passenger in the front seat.

Police imposed a fine of A $5040, withholding 30 points, on the driver.

Police official Petrovich (Ivan Petrovic) said there were 10 children on board the vehicle, all under the age of 16. He pointed out that the fact that many children on board were not wearing seat belts was a sign of adult irresponsibility and recklessness. In the event of a car crash, a baby sitting in the front seat can be seriously injured even if it is not life threatening.
