Adapt to the cash-free society, Melbourne street artists have their own card swiping machine.

Melbourne has street artists trying to use the EFTPOS machine to accept donations from passers-by. Clayton (Peter Clayton) decided to try it too.

According to the Daily Mail, a street entertainer who dares to innovate has found a way to adapt to a cash-free society.

Clayton (Peter Clayton), a street artist from Adelaide, is known to play guitar and sing songs on the street to get donations from passers-by. But now, he says, a lot of people don't have cash, which is a blow to his enthusiasm.

Clayton said he had spoken to other street artists who thought the cash-free society was starting to hit the industry.

To encourage passers-by to support themselves, Clayton put some of his coins in his guitar box, saying: "nothing is worse than looking at an empty box."

Morgan (Skyla Morgan), another street artist in the city, said they felt empty in the show because of a lack of cash.

In Melbourne, street artists are reported to have tried to use the EFTPOS machine to accept donations from passers-by. Clayton decided to give it a try. He said: "if someone wants to give me some donations, I hope that after I have done the show, I will press the quota and they can pay for it."

Carlyton hopes that other street artists will accept the trend and help them recover their enthusiasm for street acting.
