Wildfires in western Victoria continue to ravage, with as many as 12 homes destroyed, countless shacks and farm equipment burned, hundreds of cattle and cows killed and nearly 40,000 hectares destroyed.
At present, there are about 280 firefighters and 29 aircraft involved in the fire fighting.
State aid officials say many of the wildfires are caused by lightning.
