Humanization! New state parking overtime 10 minutes will not be punished

New state drivers will be entitled to a 10-minute overtime grace period under a "humanized" new parking penalty.

According to the Daily Mail, the new state will implement the new parking penalty policy from January 31, so that drivers will not rush back to the parking area even if they are several minutes late. If the driver can document that he has paid an hour's parking fee, a parking overtime of less than 10 minutes can be waived from the A $110 fine.

It is worth noting, however, that the 10-minute grace period for "maintaining grace" applies only to the paper ticket parking area and does not include the electronic meter billing parking area.

New state finance director Peyrot (Dominic Perottet) said the new rules were "humanized" to prevent people from being punished for being five minutes late. Local councils need to stop using parking fines as an excuse to profit, and should consider how to help taxpayers save money, rather than pay for it in their pockets.
