There's no need to be afraid of a digital driver's license in Australia if you forget your driver's license!

Under the new regulations, every driver in the new state will be able to use a digital license on his or her mobile phone, meaning that plastic cards will begin to withdraw from the stage.

In its biggest document reform in 30 years, the new state will present a bill to Congress over the next two weeks to digitize its driver's license and age card.

The new high-tech identification system, which will be accessible through a smartphone app called (app), will be rolled out in different parts of the state this year and will be provided free of charge by the New State Service's (Services NSW).

"smartphones have become de facto wallets, and we use cutting-edge technology to enable drivers to use digital drivers' licenses in their daily lives," said Victor (Victor Dominello), director of finance, services and real estate in the new state.

This is Australia's first law to allow drivers to carry no plastic license.

The smartphone app will be used for roadside police checks and identification of entering bars and clubs, but plastic cards will not be phased out in the short term because people can voluntarily choose whether to use a digital driver's license.

John (John Green), head of (AHA), the Australian hotelier's association, said he believed the promotion of the new driver's license would be "gradual".

"I think it's going to be popular in the next year or two," he said. You can imagine that we don't have to bring our wallets anymore. " Green said the technology would reduce the use of fake documents or fraudulent use of other people's documents. "I don't think there are many people who are willing to lend out their cell phones and digital driver's license. The dynamic characteristics of this technology make it very easy to detect whether a document is valid or not. There will be a clear indication in the middle of the screen that the person is over 18 years old. "

The smartphone, the app, took more than a year to develop and has security features that prevent people from faking documents through screenshots.

Data is also unavailable from lost or stolen smartphones, which use the same encryption technology as banks.

Before that, the government launched a pilot project in Dubbo in November, involving more than 1400 residents.

An independent research firm found that 83% of users found it simple and convenient to use a smartphone's digital driver's license.

"the trial of the Dubbo has been a great success, and drivers can't stop praising it," Dominiano said.

The new app, driver needs to register a MyServiceNSW account and download a digital driver's license. The government will continue to work with fraud experts and banks to expand the use of digital driving licences in more complex situations. In addition, drivers in the new state still need to use their plastic cards when they travel to other states or overseas.
