2000 people cheat on welfare in Australia every week! The amount involved in five years is as high as 500 million!

The welfare of Australia is well known, but do you know anyone else is doing welfare fraud?

According to statistics, there are more than 2000 people in Australia every week to carry out welfare fraud! It's a huge number, so amazing!

Over the past five years, five hundred thousand people have reported welfare fraud involving as much as A $100m.

A Tasmanian resident who lied about being a single parent and deceiving up to A $ one hundred and fifty thousand in benefits was jailed for cheating on welfare expenses, while she was already married and no longer single. Others have been found guilty of fraud or have been asked to pay thousands of Australian dollars.

Since July last year, the government has received 80, 000 welfare fraud cases, resulting in more than A $18 million in fiscal spending.

Government said they were investigating the cases. According to figures mentioned in the debate ahead of next week's government budget announcement, about 2000 Australians are engaged in welfare fraud every week.

So far, 70 welfare fraud claims have been filed with prosecutors.

The debate is about whether to raise unemployment benefits. Chris Richardson, an economist, said the benefits were "unnecessary, cruel" and Australia's "outstanding failure as a country".

However, labor leader Bill Shorten says it is unfair to ask welfare recipients to live on A $40 a day.

It is not clear if there will be an increase in benefits in the next budget, but government said their plan was to help people get rid of welfare.

So many people cheat welfare is also really hate, how do you think to solve this problem? Will it reduce the welfare budget or increase the welfare budget? Or increase the strength of management audit to rely on it?
