According to the Daily Mail, a worrying new data shows that Kimberley (Kimberley) in Western Australia has the highest suicide rate in Australia.

The suicide rate in the remote part of the country is higher than in other parts of Australia, according to recent data from the federal government on the deaths of Australians between 2012 and 2016.

In the region, 42.8 out of every one hundred thousand people commit suicide, according to (Australian Institute of Health and Welfare), the Australian Institute for Health and Welfare. This was followed by 31.9 and 28.1 suicides in Ridgefield (Litchfield), in the interior and northern territories of North Queensland, respectively, per one hundred thousand people.

In addition, according to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), Kimberley's suicide rate is higher than that of Sri Lanka's (Sri Lanka), Guyana (Guyana), and Mongolia's (Mongolia), which are the worst countries in the world, with a suicide rate of 34.6 per one hundred thousand, respectively. 30.6 and 28.1 committed suicide.

Nine out of every 10 suicides in the Kimberley area involve indigenous people, with poverty being the main cause, according to local support worker Giogatos (Gerry Georgatos). Despite some aggressive measures and investment in infrastructure, the region still has the second-highest homelessness rate in Australia.

Thirteen young aborigines committed suicide in Kimberley between 2012 and 2016. Western Australian coroners investigated the issue in 2017, though the results have not yet been released.

In the previous fiscal year, six indigenous people, aged between 15 and 17, committed suicide in the area.

Jogatos said this is a worrying and development trend. Although the number of suicides declined last year, it did not include self-harm in hospitals, attempted suicide, and police-handled anomalies.

Both Western Australia's government and federal government are concerned about the high suicide rate in the Kimberley area.

Federal Aboriginal minister Wyatt (Ken Wyatt) says it has worked with local communities and health agencies.

In addition, Western Australia's government has invested A $10.2 million in setting up Aboriginal mental health services across the state, as well as suicide prevention coordinators in various regions of (Specialist Aboriginal Mental Health Service),.
